The style they liked aligned with that of Quentin Blake; loose, sketchy and a bit scruffy. All of the characters were to be carrying different things you'd find in the Cloth House. The idea being that they were carrying these items to the new shop, down the road. They got printed in black only, onto vinyl stickers to go in the windows.
